Maple Leaf Festival: A Fun-Filled Weekend

The city of Carthage kicks off the Maple Leaf festivities with a rodeo at the Carthage Saddle Club Arena on the evening of the second Friday in October. The festivities continue on Saturday with an Oktoberfest in the town's Central Park. On Saturday, they also held a baby and toddler show and a chicken pageant.
Then, on Sunday, they hold a Chili Cook-Off, a Dog Show, a Dachshund Race, and more pageants. On Monday, there's the Quilt Crawl and Touch-a-Truck. Taco Tuesday! Night of Praise is on Wednesday. Three Minutes of Fame on Thursday night. Brats on the Square for lunch on Friday, followed by the Maple Leaf 5K Run that evening.
Then, finally, closing out that last Saturday with the Maple Leaf Parade, a Car and Tractor Show, and ending the day with a Truck and Tractor Pull that evening.
